Background: The COVID-19 pandemic negatively impacted kirana stores across India. Issues arose regarding sanitsation measures, work staff, and delivery practises. Kirana is a week-long project that redefined the existing system to allow more efficient delivery, reduce time spent per customer and improvement of trust on local stores while adding a new stakeholder - the floating delivery boys. The solution was integrated with Whatsapp by the addition of a single new feature on the Whatsapp Business side. 

The system is flexible enough to be sustained into a post-pandemic scenario as well, though we are working on the scalability aspect of it.
